The IMAX Theatre Sydney in Darling Harbour uses the IMAX film system, the largest film format in the world. With crystal clear images, ten times larger than the traditional cinema format, and surround-sound system, Imax films are stunning to watch. You'll be able to see beautiful films screened either in 2D or 3D - with features such as Alice in Wonderland 3D to Avatar 3D and documentary-style such as Egypt 3D and Under the Sea 3D.
The theatre offers wheelchair seating and a hearing induction loop.

Accessible entry via an automatic door and lift is on the city side (left of the steps at the main entry) of the IMAX building. An accessible unisex toilet is just around the corner from the lift. Take the lift to Level 2 to buy your tickets. Six wheelchair spaces are located in the back row; upon request, this number can be increased to 10. Wheelchair spaces can be booked by calling Duty Manager on +61 2 9213 1632.

IMAX Theatre Sydney is centrally located at Darling Harbour, just a short stroll from Cockle Bay Wharf restaurants and Harbourside shopping precinct. From the city centre, stroll along Druitt Street to lifts that take you down to the promenade, very close to IMAX.
Accessible public transport options are plentiful. Take a bus from Circular Quay, ferry from Circular Quay (access via floating pontoons), Matilda City Loop ferry from Circular Quay, light rail to Pyrmont Bay station or Paddy's Market Station or Monorail to Darling Harbour stations.
Dedicated access parking is available at car parks in the Convention Centre, Entertainment Centre and Harbourside. Discounted parking may be available by validating your parking ticket at IMAX. Check the "Park and save" tab on the website.
